Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice where very fine needles are inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate nerves and muscles. The practice is used for pain relief and improving overall health. The practice is now well recognised in western medicine and can be used to treat a large number of ailments, including Trauma pain, chronic pain (back, neck, arthritis). Menstrual pain and symptoms, Nausea, anxiety, stress relief and insomnia.
The mechanism of acupuncture is the incision of fine needles into specific points which trigger the body's release to natural pain relieving chemicals such as endorphins. The benefits of acupuncture include Pain reduction, Improved sleep quality, Reduced stress and anxiety, enhanced relaxation, Chronic pain symptom management and improved mood.
When I first discovered Acupuncture I was skeptical , however after seeing the positive results that acupuncture has had on some of my clients I am now an advocate for the benefits that Acupuncture can provide. I am always happy to chat with clients in length about the benefits and am always open to questions.
As a Registered NHS Nurse I would always advocate these therapies as complementary and never as alternative

Vitamin Injections
Vitamin injections can offer several benefits, especially for people who have difficulty absorbing nutrients through food or oral supplements. Because the vitamins are delivered directly into the bloodstream or muscle, they bypass the digestive system and can be absorbed more efficiently and quickly. This can be helpful for individuals with nutrient deficiencies, certain medical conditions, or increased nutritional needs. Some people report improvements in energy levels, immune support, and overall well-being, particularly with injections like vitamin B12.

Anti - Wrinkle Injections
Anti-wrinkle injections are a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly on the forehead, around the eyes, and between the brows. They work by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles, which softens existing wrinkles and helps prevent deeper lines from forming over time. The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and typically involves little to no downtime, making it convenient for many people. Results usually appear within a few days and can last several months, offering a refreshed and more youthful appearance when administered by a qualified medical professional.

Skin Boosters
Skin booster injections are an aesthetic treatment designed to deeply hydrate the skin, improve texture, and enhance overall radiance rather than alter facial structure. They typically contain hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains moisture, helping to plump the skin from within and reduce the appearance of fine lines. By improving skin elasticity and smoothness, skin boosters can give a healthier, more youthful glow, especially in areas such as the face, neck, and hands. The treatment is minimally invasive with little downtime, and results develop gradually, leaving the skin looking refreshed, hydrated, and revitalised.

Massage Therapy
Massage therapy offers a wide range of physical and mental benefits, making it a valuable addition to overall wellness care. It helps relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve circulation, which can support faster recovery and better mobility. Massage is also known to reduce stress and anxiety by promoting relaxation and lowering cortisol levels, while improving sleep quality and overall mood. Regular sessions may enhance flexibility, support immune function, and increase body awareness, helping individuals feel more balanced, relaxed, and rejuvenated.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative treatment where special cups are placed on the skin to create suction. This suction gently pulls the skin and underlying tissue upward, which is believed to increase blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes. The cups can be made from glass, silicone, or plastic and are typically left in place for several minutes. Cupping is often used to help relieve muscle pain, stiffness, and inflammation, and is commonly seen in sports recovery and traditional Chinese medicine practices. The round marks sometimes left on the skin are caused by the suction drawing blood to the surface and usually fade within a few days.
